Brazil:A New Virus Away From Abolo>Dilma Roussef calls on Brazil society to unite against Zika virus

President Dilma Rousseff has called on the whole of Brazilian society to help combat the spread of the Zika virus, which has been linked to birth defects.

Ms Rousseff said national mobilisation was needed to eliminate the mosquitoes that spread the virus, and urged community groups and unions to help.
Zika is thought to cause a form of infant brain damage, microcephaly.
Three to four million people could be infected with Zika in the Americas this year, experts have warned.
Ms Rousseff rejected comments made by her health minister earlier this week, who said Brazil was badly losing the fight against the virus.
But Brazil is the country worst affected by the Zika outbreak, with 270 cases of microcephaly confirmed by the health ministry and 3,448 being investigated.

Cameroo:says 'long way to go' in EU benefit talks.

David Cameron has dismissed a proposed "emergency brake" on in-work benefits for EU migrants as "not good enough" after talks in Brussels.
The plan had been proposed by EU officials to break the deadlock in Mr Cameron's EU renegotiations.
He said progress had been made but there was still a "long way to go".
The PM is aiming to get a deal with other EU nations on benefits and three other demands at a summit next month before holding an in/out referendum.

Mr Cameron wants to prevent migrants from other EU nations from claiming tax credits - income supplements paid to those in low-paid work - for four years, which he says will help reduce high levels of immigration to the UK.

 'Oliver Twist'
But the ideas is facing resistance from Central European nations, who view it as discriminatory towards their citizens.

EU officials have floated the idea of a temporary ban or "emergency brake", that would be available to all member states, if they can prove their welfare systems are under strain from immigration.
Czech officials said this was the "best solution" and could be imposed within three months of the UK applying for it - but Poland has said its citizens cannot be "denied social benefits" in other EU nations.
Speaking after talks with European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker, Mr Cameron said the "emergency brake" plan "needs more work".
He insisted he wanted to ensure migrants could not receive benefits until they had paid into the system, adding: "We want to end the idea of something for nothing."
But UKIP leader Nigel Farage told the BBC: "The prime minister's position is pretty pathetic and some what anaemic."
Mr Farage accused the prime minister of "fiddling around on the edges" and said the issues being negotiated would not make "any difference at all".
He compared Mr Cameron to Dickens' character Oliver Twist, saying: "For him now to go to the next European summit and to ask for more, it's a little bit like the boy in Oliver going up and saying 'please sir, can we have some more concessions' - it is pathetic."

camroon:Suicide bombers kill four in north Cameroon school

Two suicide bombers killed four people at a school in northern Cameroon on Thursday, local officials said, the latest attack in a central African country struggling to contain violence blamed on Boko Haram militants in neighboring Nigeria.
A dozen people were wounded in the twin bombing in the town of Kerawa, Mayor Seiny Boukar Lamine said.
While there was no immediate claim of responsibility, northern Cameroon has become the scene of increasingly frequent suicide attacks as Boko Haram Islamist militants step up cross-border violence that has also affected Chad and Niger.
A suicide bombing of an outdoor market in northern Cameroon three days ago killed 32 people and wounded 66 in one of the deadliest attacks in the country to date.
A local prefect said the school in Kerawa targeted on Thursday had been housing Nigerian refugees.
Boko Haram has killed thousands of people and driven more than two million from their homes during its six-year insurgency in one of the world's poorest regions.

USA Beyonce: “Singer is close to five months pregnant” – source confirms

A music industry insider tells Radar Online that the 34-year-old singer tried to cover up her baby bump in a bulky hoodie at a music video shoot in Los Angles on Saturday, January 23. But it was so obvious she was pregnant.

Beyonce is very close to five months pregnant, a source confirms to Radar Online.
“Although she didn’t announce it or anything, it was pretty apparent from the way she was acting,” that pregnancy rumors seemed to be true, said the source. “She was probably close to five months pregnant,” the source told Radar. Indeed, she used a stunt double for the crazier shots.
“It was pretty indicative she was covering up,” instead of wearing her normally skin-baring attire. “She had a dress on, but this really big black hoodie covering up. That was the outfit she used for the whole shoot.”
But despite her efforts to hide it, “She definitely had a little belly pouch.”

Ghana:Ayew, Ighalo lead African charge

Ghana's Andre Ayew and Nigerian Odion Ighalo were on target in the English Premier League at the weekend as Cameroon international Dani Ndi scored his first La Liga goal for Sporting Gijon.
ENGLAND
ANDRE AYEW (Swansea)
The Ghana striker struck the winner in Swansea's 2-1 win away to Everton as the Swans moved four points clear of the relegation zone when his deflected shot beat Tim Howard.
RIYAD MAHREZ (Leicester City)
The Algeria winger set the seal on Premier League leaders Leicester's 3-0 win at home to Stoke when a brilliant piece of individual skill saw him weave his way into the box and guide the ball to John Ulloa, who scored from the close-range chance.
ODION IGHALO (Watford)
Ighalo claimed his seventh goal in seven league games at Vicarage Road just after the break with the Nigerian striker also setting up Northern Ireland defender Craig Cathcart for the second ten minutes later in the Hornets' 2-1 win over Newcastle.
SEBASTIEN BASSONG (Norwich)
The Cameroon defender thought he had scored the equaliser for Norwich when he grabbed the Canaries' fourth goal in the 92nd minute only for Adam Lallana to give Liverpool a dramatic 5-4 victory with a 95th-minute goal at Carrow Road.

SPAIN
YOUSSEF EL ARABI (Granada)
Moroccan striker El Arabi fired home his sixth goal of the season in Granada's vital 3-2 win over Getafe to lift them out of the relegation zone.
DANI NDI (Sporting Gijon)
Cameroon international Dani Ndi scored his first La Liga goal with a simple header from close range as Sporting thrashed Real Sociedad 5-1 to boost their survival hopes.
GERMANY
PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG (Borussia Dortmund)
Africa's player of the year failed to get on the scoresheet in Dortmund's 3-1 win at Borussia Moenchengladbach despite a string of chances. It was only the fifth league match this season that the star has failed to score but he remains the league's top scorer with 18 goals.
"We played well, even if I'm no so happy with my performance," said Aubameyang. "As long as we get the three points, everything is okay."
JOEL MATIP (Schalke 04)
With the Royal Blues eager to extend his contract, the Cameroon defender headed his side into a fourth-minute lead from a corner in Schalke's 3-1 defeat at home to Werder Bremen. It was the 24-year-old's third goal of the season.
ANTHONY UJAH (Werder Bremen)
The Nigeria striker scored his eighth goal of the season in the 89th-minute of Werder Bremen's shock win at Schalke. The 25-year-old tapped home a final pass from his captain Clemens Fritz. Despite the win, Bremen remain in the relegation places and third from bottom.
FRANCE
CHEICK DIABATE (Bordeaux)
The Mali striker grabbed his third goal in three games as Bordeaux scored twice in the last six minutes in a 2-2 draw at Nantes. The 27-year-old found the target in the 84th minute with a header from close to the penalty spot to beat Remy Riou in the Nantes goal. Riou had earlier kept out another Diabate header.

ITALY
MOHAMED SALAH (Roma)
Salah was handed a new role away to champions Juventus on Sunday, but the Egyptian – more used to playing on the flank in Rudi Garcia's 4-3-3 – was less effective in the 3-4-1-2 deployed by new coach Luciano Spalletti. The Egyptian's usually pacey game was absent, although it was a frustrating performance all round from both sides before Paulo Dybala snatched the win for Juve 13 minutes from the end. Salah breathed a sigh of relief when he gave away possession cheaply in midfield only for defender Daniele De Rossi to come to the rescue with a block from Sami Khedira's drive into the box.
KEITA BALDE (Lazio)
With Miroslav Klose and Felipe Anderson both starting on the bench against Chievo, Keita was given a rare start for Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico, and after a largely positive performance the Senegalese striker finally made his mark with his team's fourth goal – in the sixth minute of added-on time – as Stefano Pioli's men enjoyed a 4-1 win. It was his third goal in 16 Serie A appearances this season.

Celebrities Who Have Died In 2016: Abe Vigoda Shockingly Adds To Huge List.

2016 has truly been a year that has already brought forth a lot of tragedy and sadness in the celebrity world. Each year, there are always a number of celebrity deaths that sadden just about everyone and some years, there are more than others. So far, 2016 has already had more than its share and January isn’t even over year. Celebrity deaths seem to be coming every single day and on Tuesday, it was time for a man to go, and everyone thought he was immortal, but Abe Vigoda sadly wasn’t.
Vigoda was a legendary character actor whose big smile and sad eyes have made him perfect for bit parts and big time roles for decades. ABC News reported that the actor from The Godfather and Barney Miller passed away at the age of 94.
Carol Vigoda Fuchs, Abe’s daughter, said that he was “never sick” and the cause of death was simply natural causes and old age.
Many have considered and joked that Abe Vigoda was immortal because many always wondered if he was even still alive. Numerous times, he has fallen victim to the celebrity death hoax that has also hit James Earl Jones, Willie Nelson, Betty White, and even Jake from State Farm.
Sadly, Vigoda is one of just numerous celebrities who have passed away in 2016.

Just under two weeks ago, world-renowned actor Alan Rickman passed away at the age of 69 after losing his battle with cancer, as reported by BBC. Four days prior to the loss of Rickman, iconic singer/songwriter David Bowie also died at the age of 69 due to cancer.
The world simply didn’t know what to do with itself during that week as the two were legends in the entertainment industry. Still, there have been so many more in January already and the month isn’t even four weeks old yet.
Four days after Rickman’s death, Glenn Frey, a founding member of The Eagles, passed away at the age of 67, according to TMZ. His passing rocked the world in so many ways and numerous musicians were really torn up about it. Keith Urban even did a cover of “Take It Easy” by The Eagles in tribute to Frey.

Those deaths alone may seem like more than enough for a year, but that was just in the span of about eight days. The sad part is that there are so many more celebrity deaths that have already come about in 2016, and people are hopping on social media everywhere to proclaim they are done with this year.
Here are some more of the notable celebrity deaths that have happened in 2016 so far:

News and photos: Chris Oyakhilome And Daughter Perform On Stage

When the divorce saga of Christ Embassy Pastor, Chris Oyakhilome, hit the news some months back, many were shocked.

Few months down the line, it seems the parties involved and affected by the divorce saga months ago have since moved on and started a new life.
This is proven by the fact that some days ago, Pastor Chris Oyakhliome, was spotted performing on stage with his first daughter, Sharon, at the Christ Embassy 2014 International Pastors’ and Partners’ Conference.

The 21-year-old Sharon is a budding gospel musician. And in an adorable way that a father and his daughter can connect, Pastor Chris joined her on stage halfway through the rendition of her hit track “I am excellent”. Sharon called on her dad to join her and together they happily ended the song.

Although Pastor Anita Oyakhilome, who is in the UK was absent at the said conference, it did not look like the family has gone through any saga in the recent times with the awesomeness that was showcased when Pastor Chris joined his daughter to perform on stage.

It would be recalled that Anita had recently filed for divorce from her estranged husband, and the founder of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Speculations of the split between the couple came to light after church members in London sympathetic to their Pastor Anita, had set up a Facebook page calling out Pastor Chris for being un-Christian in his marriage, and how he has been treating Pastor Anita in the church. The case however is still in court.

Revealed: The world's 15 most valuable footballers, including Harry Kane, Anthony Martial and more .

According to a new study, Harry Kane is the FIFTH most valuable footballer in the world.

But Kane is still nearly three times less valuable than Lionel Messi , who remains as the planet's value-for-money star, despite seeing his stock drop by €17million.

The valuations, calculated by the CIES Football Observatory, is based around an economic model analysing transfer fees, performances and personal characteristics of players, such as their age, position and contract length.

CIES's advanced technologies have allowed footballers in the big five leagues - Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 - to be assessed.

This month's studies show that while Messi's value has dropped slightly, that of Neymar has soared in that past six months, rising from €94m to €157m.

Eden Hazard's torrid time in the Premier League hasn't left too much damage on his standing, as he finds himself in third spot despite a decrease of €12m on his total value.

But Kane's rise is remarkable, after adding €35m onto his value - which is now €91m - rising from the mid-20s to fifth spot, ahead of the likes of Sergio Aguero, Alexis Sanchez and Luis Suarez.

Just missing from the top 15 are Robert Lewandowski, Gareth Bale, Romelu Lukaku and Diego Costa, who take 16th to 19th spots respectively.

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil , the Premier League's player of the season so far, is valued at €51m and sits in 27th place.

The full 1-100 is available on the Football Observatory's Big-5 weekly post, which you can find here .

It will cost 40% more to air the English Premier League to African soccer fans next season.

The English Premier League, with over a billion global fans, is undeniably the world’s most popular domestic soccer competition. Over the years, its immense popularity across the world has resulted in a spike in the value of the league’s foreign television rights which, at the time of the Premier League’s inception in 1992, stood at £7.6 million per year.

Today, the Premier League could earn up to £3.2 billion ($4.7 billion) from its foreign broadcast deals for the 2016-2019 broadcast cycle according to forecasts from UK newspaper, The Mail on Sunday.

Africa, where the league enjoys unrivaled popularity, has become an increasingly important soccer TV rights market over the years. With the next broadcast cycle running from 2016 to 2019 beginning later this year (broadcast rights are sold for three-year windows), SuperSport, broadcasters of the Premier League in sub-Saharan Africa will pay £296 million, 44% more than it did for 2013-2016, to air the matches to millions of viewers on the continent according to the forecast.

Soccer, or rather, football, has a huge audience in Africa but locally, there are very few leagues good enough in organization, scheduling and branding to command audiences that can rival the Premier League on the continent.

Soccer, or rather, football, has a huge audience in Africa but locally, there are very few leagues good enough in organization, scheduling and branding to command audiences that can rival the Premier League on the continent.
African fans look to Europe and the English Premier League for their regular fix of watching some of game’s biggest stars.. While the big clubs in England are well supported by African fans, star African players like Yaya Toure, the Ivorian midfielder who plays for Manchester City, also prove to be a big draw for African audiences. Similarly, emerging talent from the ongoing season such as Algeria’s Riyadh Mahrez (Leicester City), statistically one of the best players in the league this season, and Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo (Watford), the top scorer in English football in 2015, are also providing African fans with an extra reason to follow games weekly.

Bodies of dead Boko Haram Terrorists.

Twenty-four Boko Haram terrorists have been gunned down and killed by soldiers in Cameroon.

According to , the jihadist terrorists were caught out in Wabache by Cameroonian soldiers serving in a multinational joint task force.

The task force killed 24 terrorists, suffering only light casualties in return with two soldiers wounded.

According to Etahoben, Boko Haram militants also launched an attack on Cameroonian army positions in Kerawa, a town which straddles the Nigeria-Cameroon border.

The current situation in Kerawa remains unclear.

The recent engagements are the latest in a series of battles between the Islamist terrorists and Cameroonian soldiers, who have been accused of killing civilians caught in the crossfire.

Just last month, Cameroonian army units crossed the border into Nigeria in pursuit of retreating Boko Haram militants.

After entering the village of Kirawa-Jimni, Borno state, the Cameroonians demanded to know where the fleeing terrorists had gone,
