Football:PSG ban Aurier for insulting Blanc
Paris St Germain have suspended defender Serge Aurier indefinitely, dropping him from their squad to meet Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday, after he insulted coach Laurent Blanc and his teammates.
Ivorian Aurier would be disciplined after he made insulting comments about Blanc and teammates including Angel Di Maria and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a video posted online, the club said.
"I have made the decision to suspend Serge Aurier. Paris Saint-Germain is a very strong institution nobody can touch," PSG quoted club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi as saying in a statement on Sunday.
"I will let no one put the club in difficulty and turn us from our objectives starting with our rendezvous with Chelsea, highly anticipated by our supporters," he said.
"Serge Aurier will not figure in the squad to face Chelsea this Tuesday in the Champions League."
PSG, who Chelsea in the Champions League last 16 on Tuesday, pledged their "full support to their coach Laurent Blanc and those players who might justifiably have felt offended by Aurier's remarks which are contrary to all the club's values."
In another video posted online, the 23-year-old Aurier apologised for his comments.
"I did something really idiotic ... I apologise to my teammates, the coach, the club and the supporters.
"Especially the coach, I can only thank him for all he has done for me ... I accept all consequences."

Cameroon: European Football Clubs aren’t interested in Cameroonian Players anymore!
The era when Samuel Eto’o, Alex Song (Fc Barcelona), Eric Djemba-Djemba
(Manchester United) were signing contracts for big clubs is likely
over. Today, the major European football clubs snub Cameroonian
footballers. Currently, no Cameroonian plays with the top 10 of Europe’s
biggest clubs. Joel Matip, Eric-Maxim Choupo Moting (Schalke 04), Vincent Aboubakar (FC Porto), Clinton Njie (Tottenham), Nicolas Nkoulou (Olympique Marseille) or Henri Bedimo (Olympique Lyon), who all play in medium clubs are perceived as great professionals, since there is nothing better!
No Cameroonian footballer could be positioned at the recent winter transfer window in Europe. Instead, the young trainees of Fc Barcelona since 2006 have been released or simply fired, the former proven talents, including Stéphane Mbia, who have not had the opportunity to have a salary that is appropriate in the major European clubs were reduced to exotic championships, like China.

Cameroon – Brenda Biya: First Daughter would be spending around 96 million/year on taxi!
The case has already been
internationalized since its appearance on social networks. Indeed,
having been ejected from a taxi in the United States, the young Brenda Biya
estimated to have been a victim of racism. Student in a University of
California (UC IRVINE) 60 km from Los Angeles, it is from the mouth of
the young lady we learn that to get there, 800 dollars round trip (about
500,000 CFA francs) , per day.
One can already get into the
calculations. When you consider that our national celebrity has
university classes four times a week and should make this trip once or
twice a day, we can deduce that the taxi fares, of the first daughter
costs about 1 to 2 million CFA francs each week from Cameroonian
taxpayers 4-8 million per month and 48 to 96 million CFA francs a year.
Since then, the video posted on Snapchat
has angered Cameroonians. The truth is that when an average Cameroonian
listens to statements made in this video, he/she is disgusted. And
because, according to a recent survey, 60% of Far North residents live
below the poverty line. Besides this, many Cameroonians are dying
because they have no means for proper treatment, and the list is
non-exhaustive.
According to some people, there is thus
an urgent need to re-frame the teenager. She needs to be taught that the
presidential family is in all countries an institution whose actions
are always spiced, commented, and criticized. In addition, her warm
blood which she speaks of in her video, should be tamed.

the Top Ten best teams of the continent. On the contrary the team of

Omnisport stadium of Limbe on behalf of the playoffs of the AFCON Gabon
2017, earned a spot (75th).
All National teams at the top of the
African hierarchy, experienced resounding falls in the second month of
the year 2016. Ivory Coast remains in the lead but lost 9 places (28th).
Algeria, which was second in January came down to third place, having
lost 8 places (36th). And Ghana who was third, left the podium after
losing 8 places (41st). Cape Verde is the new second in Africa with six
places won (33rd) in addition.
Belgium also maintains its top spot globally, ahead of Argentina and Spain respectively. All were flat.

Cameroon – Longue Longue: [Video] Watch artist being beaten up by a taxi driver!
After the altercation the first daughter of Cameroon, Brenda Biya recently had with a taxi driver in the United States, it is the turn of the musician Simon Longkana Agno, AKA Longue Longue to argue with a yellow cap driver.
More seriously, these two came to blows.
The scene took place on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016 at the PK 12
neighborhood in the east of the city of Douala. Some local young people
tried in vain to scoop out the fight by intervening. Longue Longue,
dressed all in white on the video below, was beaten up by the taxi-man.
The artist was saved by his younger brother, who appears in the video
shirtless.

Cameroon: New laser-armed Chinese helicopter tested by army…to better fight Boko Haram!
The first trial was done Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016 in the locality of Tchabal in Ngaoundere.
The Cameroonian air force just completed
the testing of its new laser helicopters acquired recently from the
Chinese army. Under the supervision of the air force Parton, Brigadier
General Jean Claude Momha, the crew conducted shooting
missiles and ammunition from a distance of about 1 km on the target
shooting camp of Tchabal the outskirts of the town of Ngaoundere.
The new equipment of the Cameroonian
army equipped with laser or infrared, is capable of neutralizing the
enemy with precision in the day as at night.
These lasers will give more to the
Cameroonian army in war more than a year against the Nigerian Islamic
sect, Boko Haram, in the Extreme North region. The latest statistics
from the spokesman of the Cameroon
government, indicated that
Cameroon would have lost more people in this war in January 2016 than in
the entire 2015.
The use of suicide bombings by Boko
Haram in the attacks, forces the armed forces involved in the war to
change strategies. We must find ways to dislodge the enemy from hiding.

Latest Breaking News: Ghana's President John Mahama's son Sharaf signs for Belgian top-flight side Mechele
Ghana President John Mahama's son Sharaf has SHOCKINGLY signed for Belgian top-flight side Mechelen, GHANAsoccernet.com has been exclusively told by reliable sources in Belgium.
Two reporters with Belgium's biggest sports newspapers have also confirmed to Ghana's leading football news outfit that indeed the student has joined Mechelen, the club famed for signing Ghanaian players.
The 22-year-old, who just last year was a student in the Untied Arab Emirates, signed the deal after training with the side since October, the soucres told Ghanasoccernet.com.
The deal has not been confirmed by the club on its website even though it is already widespread in the European country.
This comes just eight months after Sharaf Mahama announced his decision to pursue his career in football after playing in Stephen Appiah's testimonial in June last year.
Sharaf Mahama played as a second half substitute in the game which was also played by Africa's top stars including Emmanuel Adebayor, Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew but did not have enough playing time to demonstrate his prowess.
He arrived in the country along with his compatriot Hope Doagbodzi who have been training with the side in their bid to grab a permanent deal.

Now the club insiders say the son of Ghana President John Mahama has signed a contract with the club along with Doagbodzi.
The information also claims that two other Ghanain youngster Rueben Acquah and Opoku Ampomah were also signed by Mechelen who previously had Ghanaian defender Nana Asare as their captain.
Abdul-Yakuni Iddi (and his brother) both from Ghana also played for Mechelen in the past.
It has not been confirmed from the Presidency whether the Sharaf Mahama is the same as the son of the Ghanaian leader but in Belgium is it news that the son of the leaders of the West African country has joined a club in their top-flight.
Sharaf Mahama is already popular with footballers in Ghana as he is close friends with Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Asamoah Gyan and Stephen Appiah.
He is a football and fitness addict who has joined his father in public fitness activities in recent times.
While studying in Dubai, he regularly attended matches of Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan when he was the star striker of Al Ain in the UAE top-flight league.
Africa:South Africa's drought is bad for hippos, great for lions
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK, South Africa — At South Africa’s biggest national park, wildlife officials are warning of difficult weeks ahead: unless significant rains come, animals will start dying.
This is the harsh reality of life in a country suffering its worst drought in decades. Cattle are already dying, and crops have been destroyed. Many South Africans are dealing with drinking water shortages, and volunteers have been delivering emergency water supplies to communities in dire need.
William Mabasa, spokesman for the Kruger National Park, says that visitors to the park may be upset to see wildlife suffering, but drought is a natural cycle like fire and floods.
“Those with strong genes will survive,” he said.
Hippos will be among the first animals affected. They typically stay cool in rivers and water pools during the heat of the day, going to graze at night — but are now spending more time grazing during daytime as they struggle find enough food.
Kruger is a vast park in South Africa’s northeast, bordering Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Animals here rely largely on rivers, though water holes are supplied by park management in some places.
News and Photo How Sometimes, Iowa Democrats award caucus delegates with a coin flip
In a handful of Democratic caucus precincts Monday, a delegate was awarded with a coin toss.
It happened in precinct 2-4 in Ames, where supporters of candidates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton disputed the results after 60 caucus participants apparently disappeared from the proceedings.
As a result of the coin toss, Clinton was awarded an additional delegate, meaning she took five of the precinct’s eight, while Sanders received three.
Similar situations played out at various precincts across the state, but had an extremely small effect on the overall outcome, in which Clinton won 49.9 percent of statewide delegate equivalents, while Sanders won 49.5 percent. The delegates that were decided by coin flips were delegates to the party's county conventions, of which there are thousands selected across the state from 1,681 separate precincts. They were not the statewide delegate equivalents that are reported in the final results.
The statewide delegate equivalents that determine the outcome on caucus night are derived from the county-level delegates, but are aggregated across the state and weighted in a manner that makes individual county delegate selections at a handful of precincts count for a tiny fraction of the ultimate result.
Here’s what happened in Ames, according to David Schweingruber, an associate professor of sociology at Iowa State University (and Sanders supporter) who participated in the caucus:
A total of 484 eligible caucus attendees were initially recorded at the site. But when each candidate’s preference group was counted, Clinton had 240 supporters, Sanders had 179 and Martin O’Malley had five (causing him to be declared non-viable).
Those figures add up to just 424 participants, leaving 60 apparently missing. When those numbers were plugged into the formula that determines delegate allocations, Clinton received four delegates and Sanders received three — leaving one delegate unassigned.
Unable to account for that numerical discrepancy and the orphan delegate it produced, the Sanders campaign challenged the results and precinct leaders called a Democratic Party hot line set up to advise on such situations.
Party officials recommended they settle the dispute with a coin toss.
A Clinton supporter correctly called “heads” on a quarter flipped in the air, and Clinton received a fifth delegate.
Football Again:Ajax anxious over Angola trip
A copious number of e-mail exchanges with their forthcoming Angolan hosts has still not yet been able to inform Ajax Cape Town where they will be playing their African Confederation Cup tie this month.
“We have been sending e-mails back and forth but we still don’t know anything. The Angolans just keep telling us not to worry, they will take care of us,” said coach Roger de Sa.
Ajax Cape Town have been drawn to play Sagrada Esperanca in the first round of the African Confederation Cup with the first leg away on Saturday February 13.
Ajax’s opponents are from Dundo in Angola’s Lunda Norte, more than 1 000km east of the capital Luanda.
Ajax face having to travel there once they get to Luanda, although the match might also be played in the capital.
Confederation of African Football rules state that clubs hosting matches 200km or more away from the capital must pay for and arrange the internal travel of the visiting team.
If they are to travel into the interior, Ajax want to know they details of their travel. They can refuse any bus trip longer than 100km.
Sagrada Esperanca are owned by the state diamond exploration company and have twice before played in the Champions League but never in the Confederation Cup.
They only qualified for the 2016 edition because Bravos do Maquis, who beat them 1-0 in the Angolan Cup final in October, could not enter because of a lack of funds.
Ajax were also cup runners-up but play in the Confederation Cup because Nedbank Cup winners Mamelodi Sundowns are in the Champions League.

Barcelona FC:Neville faces daunting Barca Cup semi
European champions Barcelona continue their quest for a second consecutive treble when Gary Neville's off-form Valencia visit the Camp Nou in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semifinal on Wednesday.
Valencia's run to the last four of the Cup has been the only positive of a difficult start for the England coach in his first managerial role.
A first defeat at home in La Liga since November 2014, 1-0 against Sporting Gijon on Sunday, stretched Neville's winless streak in La Liga to eight games and left Valencia just five points above the relegation zone.
Neville's men face the most daunting task possible if they are to reach the final for the first time since 2008 against a Barca side that hasn't lost in 26 matches in all competitions.
However, Neville insists he is embracing the challenge of returning to the scene of one of his greatest triumphs where as a player he won the Champions League with Manchester United back in 1999.
"I can't wait for Wednesday night, and I think the players will be the same. These are the moments you live for as a coach and a player," he said.
One of Neville's boldest moves has been to name top scorer Paco Alcacer captain in place of Dani Parejo and he is hopeful the Spanish international will be fit to feature after two weeks out with an ankle injury.
"By Tuesday we'll have a full complement of players. Paco is looking good and is back running again."
The visitors could also hand debuts to Denis Cheryshev and Guilherme Siqueira after they sealed loan deals from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid respectively until the end of the season.
Cheryshev's inclusion in the Real team for their Cup opener at Cadiz saw them thrown out the competition as he was suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards last season.
However, he is free to feature at the Camp Nou.
"Barcelona are a great opponent, but Valencia can also do some damage," said the Russian international.
Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has a fully fit squad to choose from and is likely to rotate after his side showed growing signs of fatigue from their demanding January schedule in edging past nine-man Atletico Madrid 2-1 on Saturday.
"It suits us to have four days rest before hosting Valencia," said defender Javier Mascherano.
"We have managed to keep winning and we're in an ideal situation, but in any moment it can slip away so we have to keep going."
The other semifinal sees Sevilla entertain Celta Vigo in their first leg on Thursday.
After a difficult start to the campaign, Sevilla have won 11 consecutive games in all competitions at home.
Celta caused the shock of the quarterfinals by knocking out Atletico Madrid and will be boosted by the return of Spanish international Nolito.
The former Barcelona forward hasn't played since December due to a hamstring injury and was strongly linked with a return to Barca, but the move was scuppered by the tight financial restrictions on Barca to comply with financial fair play.
"We always knew Nolito's intention was to stay here," said Celta captain Hugo Mallo.
"We are waiting for him with open arms because he is a player that can decide games."
