Cameroon: European Football Clubs aren’t interested in Cameroonian Players anymore!

The era when Samuel Eto’o, Alex Song (Fc Barcelona), Eric Djemba-Djemba (Manchester United) were signing contracts for big clubs is likely over. Today, the major European football clubs snub Cameroonian footballers. Currently, no Cameroonian plays with the top 10 of Europe’s biggest clubs. Joel Matip, Eric-Maxim Choupo Moting (Schalke 04), Vincent Aboubakar (FC Porto), Clinton Njie (Tottenham), Nicolas Nkoulou (Olympique Marseille) or Henri Bedimo (Olympique Lyon), who all play in medium clubs are perceived as great professionals, since there is nothing better!

No Cameroonian footballer could be positioned at the recent winter transfer window in Europe. Instead, the young trainees of Fc Barcelona since 2006 have been released or simply fired, the former proven talents, including Stéphane Mbia, who have not had the opportunity to have a salary that is appropriate in the major European clubs were reduced to exotic championships, like China.
